2018 West Texas Talent Search Child Semi-Finalist#1 Leon Carrasco. Leon is 12 years old and he is from Midland, Tx. He enjoys playing sports and his guitar! He is excited to be in the West Texas Talent Search!
2018 West Texas Talent Search Child Semi-Finalist #3 Sienna Carrasco. Sienna is a young girl with a pure heart. Loves everyone and means no harm to anyone. She's a leader not a follower. She enjoys singing and being a cheerleader.
2018 West Texas Talent Original Semi-Finalist #6 James Pinto. James is a Venezuelan-American singer and songwriter who has recorded two independent albums in English and Spanish.
2018 West Texas Talent Search Original Semi-Finalist #4 Lorrie Norris. Lorrie has been performing for years, though she did not return to the PUBLIC stage until a year ago. :) She has appeared in local plays, Improv shows, as well as numerous "Open Mic" nights around the Basin. She is a recent Member of West Texas Talent and has enjoyed her time performing with them
2018 West Texas Talent Search Child Semi-Finalist #2 Tarja Santiago. Tarja Santiago is a 10 year old Monahans Homeschool student, has been a member of The Sparklers Parade Corps for 7 years, is a member of the Permian Basin Poetry Society and loves the stage.
2018 West Texas Talent Search Original Semi-Finalist #7 Laurel Chipp Santiago. Laurel Chipp Santiago is the founder and owner of The Sparklers Parade Corps, she is a single mother of four talented daughters,and is best known as a radio voice and show host for KCKM 1330 am and KTXO 94.7fm. She is a baton twirler, percussionist, writer and comedian
2018 West Texas Talent Search Original Semi-Finalist #3 Austin Hickman. Austin is a chef from Monahans , Tx and a proud father of 2. He is an aspiring musician, and has been since 13, when he taught himself how to play guitar. Austin studied music at odessa college for some time before becoming an electrician. Since he enjoys writing and playing for family and friends, every chance he gets.
2018 West Texas Talent Search Semi-Finalist #4 The Spaklers Baton Twirling Corps. The Sparklers are the a baton twirling and dance team in Monahans, Texas that has been dancing their way all over the Permian Basin and even as far as Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. The team started in Crane, Texas over 10 years ago as a Girl Scout project, and branched off to become a very independent group of young people ever since. They were founded by Laurel Chipp, and are co led by Melody Santiago and Abbey Santiago
2018 West Texas Talent Search Original Semi-Finalist #5 Caroline Lucille Baker. Caroline Lucille Baker is a singer-songwriter from Flower Mound, TX. She grew up in a musical family and spent years studying voice, piano, and guitar. She participated in school musicals and choir starting from middle school. She has performed in a variety of venues such as Interlochen Center for the Arts, Traverse City Children’s Museum Gala, and the Houston, TX Rodeo. Caroline recently graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy as a Songwriting major and is ready to continue working in music
2018 West Texas Talent Search Original Semi-Finalist #2 Kristal Wight. Kristal is a singer/songwriter from Odessa/Midland, Texas. After an ACL injury prevented her from playing tennis, she taught herself how to play piano and started singing. Then after she performed the song Your Song by Elton John and an original called Did You Know at her high school’s talent show, she decided that this was something that she loved to do.
2018 West Texas Talent Search Original Semi-Finalist #1 Randy Elizondo. Randy is a performance artist whose genre covers multiple generations of music from country to funky. He has several original songs that can be found on YouTube, Spotify and iTunes. He has had the desire to perform since his first time at the age of 5. He is very passionate and soulful about music and it shows in every performance.
He started playing guitar at the age of 16 "to have something to sing along with".
He has played in several band and recorded a CD with the band Dirty Jones in Ruidoso New Mexico. Currently Randy is working on multiple projects but is mainly focusing on his solo career as an acoustic performance artist.
